In connection with our implementation of the REACH provisions, we are continuing to take all necessary measures to ensure that there is full compliance with the requirements and obligations concerning our products in this respect.

We can inform you that we have pre-registered all products relevant to the REACH provisions in accordance with the laid-down deadline.

Pre-registration was carried out on 18.12.2008. We provide no information on pre-registration numbering, as this has no legal or practical relevance whatsoever for our customers.

If the REACH-registration of low-tonnage products gives rise to unacceptably high costs, we will propose discussions with our customers to seek reasonable solutions.

We hereby announce that Völpker Spezialprodukte GmbH only ships REACH-compliant products. Our phase I products (> 1,000 tons: montan wax type E, montan wax type S, montan wax type OP, chromium hydroxide sulphate) have been registered with ECHA. We have also notified our materials according to CLP-VO within the required time period.

We hereby ask you to give details of the use(s) to which you put the product(s) you obtain from us in order that the requirements of Annex XI of the REACH Directive ("identified uses") may be fully complied with.
